Anything made by Korg, the Knife, Liam Finn, Glass Candy and Beach House
Sounds Like
Eating fluroescent crayons then dropping acid and vomiting them all up along with the alphabet soup you had for lunch that forms, amongst the putrid mix of stomach contents, poems about the past, present and future and the ONE person who eludes you the most - whilst a bearded man croons out his whiskey soaked voice whilst plucking a three-string, battered acoustic guitar. And, throughout these ongoings, an alien spaceship from the planet Suzboxayzgobananderatserxy plays its planetary anthem through planetary-size speakers.

The Fulcrum Kid was born not of the womb but of the test tube, a purely intellectual caricature where liquid forms of the Knife, Glen Hansard, Beach House and Liam Finn were subtly added to his metaphysical condition. Now in his adolescence he seeks to play out his poems and musings through the medium of an electric guitar and a synthesizer. Due to his unnatural and fragile being, he hibernates in the summer (much like his mortal enemies: the Emo race) and emerges in the autumn and Winter to liaise with his Panda friends, perform his beautifully and meticulously crafted pop songs and socialize amongst those who truly appreciate his bohemian soul .
His scientific upbringing means that he cannot imitate or convey the same ideals that his peers do, therefore creating a unique solo artistic persona that sounds nothing like his contemporaries.
When he performs his songs to an audience, he uses the assistance of his friend Samantha, whom he found wandering the Siberian Hinterlands, seducing reclusive monks, hermits and other assorted tinkers before stealing their medicinal marijuana. Sam was born naturally, via the womb (at least it is believed she was), and has miraculously acquired the voice of a heavenly being known as an angel, which is fortunate because the ability to sing was strangely excluded from the Fulcrum Kids’ DNA patterns.
Also, the Fulcrum Kids’ designers wanted to create a creature people could relate to, so gave him two arms and ten fingers, but once his thought process rested on the sound he wanted to create, he realised he could not play guitar and two synths all at once. So Sam has donated the use of her ten fingers, as well as her vocal chords, to realise the Kid’s sonic soundscapes.

You know listning to that Berlin song I thought maybe some modern harmonica would sound good in there but I'm not sure if that would radiate the kind of vibe you are going for :l
Kaha. I think you may be right in that :P Only, at the moment I have a bit of a cold so my voice is all blah. But never fear. It shall be back in perfect working order by the time we have our next practise ^^
