Howdy! I'm a dangerous and exciting comedy club involved in the perils of cakes and cardigans. I come in two sizes: Size large mainly caters for Goldsmiths students or anyone who is willing to venture into south east London for the most fun and fantastic night imaginable in Goldmiths Students Union. Size small caters for those who like their comedy cosy and intimate, within a lovely coffee shop in Camden Passage, Angel, called The Breakfast Club. See you there. Shot By Both Sides

Mar 20 2008 6:03 AM

Shot By Both Sides heads to the frozen hinterland that is North London on Tuesday March 25th, with a Spektakular FREE Soireé at Islington's Old Queens Head - expect degeneracy and bloodlust!

Fanzine handout, cakes, poetry, stories, a gritty psych/freakout jazz/fucked-pop/post-punk soundtrack, and some disturbingly delightful live sets from The Mules, The Woodsmen & more...

Damn I should have asked earlier but is it needed for me to sign up as a guest to the union?

Thanks!

I'm coming fo' sho' now, as my silly work have given me the time off. Waheyy!

Also (sorry just ignore me, I am just getting a bit ridiculously excited since I know I can come now) I like the fact that Tony Law is in the interests bit, he is the funniest person I have seen live, ever, and also that other guy whose name I can't remember but I saw him at a recording of 'Banter' last week and he was also really funny.
Yeah.

C'est moi!

I found out about it from Adam Buxtons blog but looks like a mighty fine night! Why did all the cool stuff happen after I moved away from New Cross huh? Was it me? Do I smell?

Mar 7 2008 12:33 AM

hi againnnn, sorry for being a pain but can i actually reserve 4 seats instead?! haha, i did well on the 'persuading people to come' front :)
Ash [L.o.S.e.]

Mar 5 2008 8:47 AM

ahh can i reserve 2 seats then please (under 'aislinn prior')?

i dunno if i can definitely come but is it okay to reserve seats and then change my mind later if i can't come?

Nov 16 2007 6:07 PM

hi,

Actually we do a couple of songs about cake in our show, which is called "bark":-
1. Fondant Fancy - a love song about confusing one's partner with a cake.
2. The Reykjavik Stunt Cake Tree-top Bonanza. - about an Icelandic travelling cake circus and trees.

Plus a load of other songs about cheese, dips, a missing dog, fish detectives, etc etc; you know the kind of thing.
Been going down well in a couple of fringe festivals up here in the countryside.

Check out our songs and see if you like... drop us a line if you're interested... and maybe let your friends know about us too...?

cheers loads,
derek

You're very kind. And you make tremendous biscuit/cakes. Although, I've got to be honest with you, I've always been a fan of plain biscuits, such as a digestive or a rich tea.

My wife Cheryl finds me rather irritating
