This is a new website for an old band. The Fuses formed in 1997. We're still around in 2006, or whichever year you happen to read this statement. We'll play out again when we feel like it.

Hiya friend- Just dropping a message to ask for our MySpace friends & fans' help-
We are in the final round of a contest to determine the opening band for the Blink 182 show in Utah next month! This is very exciting for us, but we need your help to make this happen! If we could ask you to surf to http://blinkvoting.x96.com and just click the 'vote' button next to our photo- we would truly appreciate it. The contest only records 1 vote per IP address, so we'll only ask you to vote this once. 10 seconds of your time could REALLY help us out.

Shut Up! I’m On the Radio is a weekly show about music from Baltimore and the surrounding area. Basically, if it’s located within two hours of Baltimore we want to know about it.
Keep sending us new material! Please send a CD or CD-R of your music. Please note selected tracks and/or tracks that may not be radio friendly. Feel free to include any press kit you have available. Definitely include information about when and where you will be playing in the Baltimore area.

We're going to be hosting a raffle, there are a lot of details on that one. Basically the run down is this. $5 raffle tickets, for a chance to get $50 in gift certificates to the Local Highrise once we're open. Bands are given the chance to convince their fans to sell them, and the band with the most raffle ticket sales will be booked for a show with absolutely ZERO showcost. Not bad for simply posting a bulletin or mentioning it at a show.
We're also updating a Livejournal for everyone who would like the updates as we get them. http://localhighrise.livejournal.com/ We'll be beginning construction soon, and we'll be adding pictures of the progress, as well as any of the bands who come down to help out. Because even rock stars know how to get dirty.
http://www.localhighrise.com has a tagboard which is good for talking with the people who are working directly within this project. Any suggestions or questions are best said there.
This is a rare oppourtunity for the folks of Baltimore. This is the first time I've ever heard of where a place is being built around the needs of those who will be going to it, so it is a good idea to get on early to make sure you give us any feedback and make sure we really know what you want, and that you're there for us.
Bands, if you're going to be playing here once we open, make sure your fans know what's going on. Odds are they wont buy tickets if they've never heard of this place.
This is getting long, send us any comments/messages/AIMs/emails/tags if you have anything you'd like to say.
See, I have this theory about why you guys play so infrequently. The Fuses destroy every venue they play. I don't just mean the audience, I mean they destroy the venues, Godzilla-style. Obviously you're not going to be asked back! There's nowhere left to play, right? ;)
In the future I hope to call myself out for various wrongs and slights with increasing intensity. Future burns will make a mockery of the relatively tame specimen archived below.
