Future Sound Bank Holiday Special
Future Sound will be holding a bank holiday special on Saturday 23rd August 2008 at a much loved venue, the Q Ball Club, in the heart of Chelmsford, which has seen the likes of Randall and Clipz grace the decks at previous intense records parties. It has been a year since Intense have used this venue, and after so many requests to go back, we thought it about time to give you what you want, so come check it out.
Headling the event will be Logan D son of d&b legend Micky Finn. He started to Listen to Jungle Music in 1993, he was up and running with a pair of Technics 1210s by 1996. From this Logan started to play out at clubs all over the country, and then even reached abroad to play his music. 2000 onwards, Logan D had been spreading his name about, which led to bigger bookings at bigger clubs. In 2006 Logan D has set up his own record label Low Down Deep Recordings featuring Nightwalker, Nicol & Majistrate, Mutated Forms, G Dub & Pleasure. Logan D has played at many events to name but a few Jungle Fever, Innovation, Stevie hyper D memorial & the UK Dance weekender and off course his own legendary low down deep label parties. In 2007 Logan was signed by Drum & Bass Arena management and can be seen up and down the country every weekend.
Alongside Logan will be his long time sparing partner and member of the infamous New Breed crew the one and only MC Herbzie. For those who saw him at our last event at Q Ball chattin for Clipz, it was definetly one to remember, so make sure you get yourselves down there and make this one just a memorable.
The Stars Of The Future include
CEO of Intense Records and founder of Future Sound, Shuffle will be representing Chelmsfords only indepedent record store. Alongisde MC Indica they have been residents at Future Sound since its creation in the year 2000, and performing together for over 15 years, be sure to check out their own take on drum & bass, this is one no to be missed.
Hayze the assistant manager @ Intense & label boss of Sonorous Music, a new label for the deeper shade of drum & bass featuring artists such as Atlantic Connection, Lynx, Brother and more. With residencies in Kent, London and Bournemouth catch him on road or live on bassdrive.com.
Unix has a d&b portfolio to be proud of djing for over 10 years up & down the country he is also staff at Intense Records, partners in Radical Beats record label and events, aswell as running Planetdnb.com one of the worlds leading D&B info sites and internet radio stations, catch Unix live wednesday nights.
DJ Fatcat a loyal member of Intense Records, has been djing up and down the Uk for years aswell as touring in the Czech Republic, catch him live on Intense Radio every week. For those who caught his set at the Brownstock festival this summer, need i say more, for those that did'nt you better show up to witness for yourself.
At this event we welcome Intense Recorsd newest member of staff, who has been loyal customer for years and djing for even longer, we present DJ Fidjit. Normally you will see him back to back with his partner in crime Andy Flow, but unfortunately Andy cant make it so get ready to be fijitised.
Last but no means least we have an Intense Radio showcase featuring some of the finest talent on the station in a back to back stand off. In the red corner we have Primary Objective a young pair of djs with a mature sound that are embracing the music to shape their own future sound of D&B. In the blue corner we have our special weapon a veteran of the dance music scene who has finally found his footing in Drum & Bass and now armed with his plastic and Robocop style quartz lock mixing, watch out for the 21 Mag! Hosting the event and warming the mic for Herbzie will be MC Indica, Intense's very own, alongside Messy MC from the EZ Rollers and MC Kruze resident at Intense Live.
