just before the american holiday that coincides with the typical notion of the birth of christ, 2005..the conceivable birth of the galavants as they are today, though to think such events as anything but mere coincedence would be a case of gross misdemenour and ego that would not suit the band at hand...the roots of the galavants had been laid, Reece and James with a rapport of sorts dating back to high school, that same guitar hero and Roxy had been playing in bands since what must have seemed like birth. A finality though graced the foetal band, upon introducing drummer Laura into the fold like one might introduce a freight train to a country lane.
Suggested wholly on the word of the then bandless James, Laura then suggested the naively veiled guitarist, and through mutual acquantance, the band convened in the kind of winter that would preseumably be followed by more winter. Despite the lack of abliity prevalent in bass, the band stuck, and despite various name changes, the band is now as it was then, with perhaps a little more zeal, purpose and as such, registering higher on the richter scale.
Gigs fell like leaves, and continue to do so; but being a band in its "scene" infancy, we would very much like to play with your band...so do get in touch, whomever may be reading
