About me:
The Galley is Bob Pearce's very own display project. Mr. Pearce is an unbelievably prolific artist whose work has been seen by thousands of people and collected by hundreds. His work has reached an unusually wide audience completely outside of the gallery system.
Unsupported by any public or private funding, unaffiliated with any educational institutions, Mr. Pearce is an independent artist whose dedication to his craft is legendary. Without regard for conventions of any sort, Mr. Pearce has aggressively pursued artistic excellence and personal vision since his infancy.
Now nearing 35 years in age, Pearce has amassed a formidable body of work , a stupendous collection of drawings and paintings of all sizes, covering a vast range of styles and media, yet singularly cohesive in vision when considered as a whole.
The Galley presents the fullest expression thus far of Mr. Pearce's aesthetic philosophy. 285 of the finest acrylic paintings and charcoal drawings spanning a 15-year period of unparalleled artistic achievement.
The Galley now brings to the public vast reserves of extraordinary beauty from a lifetime's worth of private, hidden brilliance. A visit to the Galley will reward your eyes, mind, and soul in ways that cannot be explained or translated.

Who I'd like to meet: People with open eyes, minds, and hearts. Dangerous criminals and assorted low-lifes.
I've been meaning to call you this week, but things got a little crazier than usual. I never check this site (tried to kill it 3xs), but I was looking up a friend's address and saw your comment.
E-mail me or give me a ring somtime soon. Let's talk space...
Those are gorgeous shots, Bob! Thank you so much for sharing. We're flying through Memphis in November, but we'll only be in the airport for about an hour and a half. :-( Wish it were longer so we could get together for lunch or something!!
Thank you for the beautiful and trippy flower show! Hope you are having an incredible summer. It's been a glorious one here...toddlers are SO much fun :)
Yeah, thats her portrait. She's a great musician, I think. And good person, it seems like. And thats one of my favorite paintings I've done yet.
That reminds me. I ran across a sketch that you did of me (must have been from Mrs. Mestan's class in High School) I can't place when or where it was. But I know it was one of those exercise drawings where you don't look at the paper while you draw. I knew who drew it as soon as I saw it. I'll have to send you a pic of that sometime.
Thanks for the comment on that pic. I'm layed off right now, and been trying to make a little art in the time off. Probably try and get into some landscape stuff next.
Also, I had to let you know... I didn't vote for Obama (as always I voted for guns). But I've been watching Obama this week on the news & I'm impressed with the guy so far. I'm willing to to be a good American & get behind him. He might turn out to be a good kind of politician after all. Good talker anyway. He's Still no Teddy Roosevelt but he's not bad.
Thanks for all of the wonderful picture comments...we are enjoying the bliss of parenting so much. Hopefully we get to see you next time we come to the mainland so that we can introduce you to Miss Cadence. Take care hon!
Thank you! :-) We are completely in love w/our new daughter and adjusting to parenthood quite well. Who'd have thought that our roadtrip to Memphis and beyond would've resulted in a loving relationship and a baby?!?! Jason's number is 8083888229 and mine is the same but 6085. We're 5 hours behind you in time. :-) We'd love to hear from you. Take care hon!
Aloha Bob---I just got word of this Dali/Disney movie that is coming out...they started working on it back in the 40s and it never came to life. But now, I present to you...Destino. It will be released on DVD later this year, I believe
