"Only connect! That was the whole of her sermon. Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height. Live in fragments no longer. Only connect, and the beast and the monk, robbed of the isolation that is life to either, will die." - E.M. Forster, Howards End
The Gamines are an undisciplined but passionate army orchestra that is waging a Love-war on the world. Join us!
Born on Valentines Day to a Drum Corp Major and a Poetess, it is perhaps Stevie's manifest destiny that she is composing and conducting The Gamines' acoustic and digital heartfelt music.
In the spirit of uniting, these pieces include influences from classical, folk, pop, and hiphop music , as all are loved by our troops. We love everything, and we love at first sight, forever. Forever-ever!
That was a great set at Sneaky Dee's for Wavelength. A chanteuse that reveals charm and vulnerability, combined with boldness and sensitivity. Impassioned yet delicate vocals, uplifting hook-ladened pop, a beaming soundtrack that awakens us with a burst of sunlight.
I love the new demo, just like I love all your songs.
Though, I wasn't ecstatic about the midi horn changes (correct?) on "I'm a Wave". You might call on some horn players at the Elephant Six label down in Athens, GA and get them to wire you something special. Or I can be quiet. heh.
