The Gateway is located on the Main SAIT Campus, 1301 16th Ave NW, Calgary AB, and is a lot more than just a campus bar! The great atmosphere, affordable tickets, drink specials, good food, awesome staff, and the fans make The Gateway one of Calgary’s top venues for Live Music. We have hosted some of the biggest and best live acts from around the globe! Over the past few years, The Gateway has evolved into one of Calgary’s biggest hotspots. With a capacity of 450-1000, The Gateway is one of the largest College bars in Canada and the best place to catch some of the greatest acts touring across the country. The Gateway presents and caters to a wide variety of genres and styles. Indie, Rock, Pop/Punk, Ska, Reggae, Experimental, Alternative, Singers/Songwriters, (Soloists/Bands) are all welcome to apply. Local/Regional and touring headliners will be considered. Past Artists to perform at The Gateway include: Our Lady Peace, Hinder, The Watchmen, Kevin Smith, Stars Down, Sloan, Hey Ocean, Daniel Wesley, The Dudes, The Mudmen, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Shiny Toy Guns, Yellowcard, The Trews, GOB, Bedouin Soundclash, Jeremy Fisher, Lindsay Ell, Beast, Woodhands, Helix, Secret Machines, Sylvie, Current Swell and the list goes on!
