The GC5 has left the building. We are broken up. Thanks to everyone who gave us so many great shows, great times, and great friendships.
Dave plays drums in The Magpies (the artists formerly known as The Whiskeyhounds). Doug fronts Doug McKean and the Stuntmen with Dave on drums and Chris Yohn on bass. Petey moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. He's got some new projects in the works down there.
Now that you know what we're doing, tell us what you're doing. We miss you.
"These Spanish lads combine a solid street punk sound with peppy '77 tunes. Think Toy Dolls and Rezillos meets Cock Sparrer. Yes indeed, that's really 12 hot shots!" Bandworm -Germany-
"Street rock’n’roll for punks, skins and hooligans. If you like Cock Sparrer, Cockney Rejects, Major Accident in a mix with some Ramones, then VonDänikens is the band for you. An album you shouldn’t miss!" Mpty zine -Romania-
"Tuneful, melodic rock 'n' roll streetpunk with lots of gang vocals on the choruses, and plenty of "whooa whooa"s going on. This is their 12 track album, and it's a cracker!" You can't Say No to Hope zine -UK-
"It is very efficient, good choruses, good melodies, good album, I like it!" Carry No Banners zine -France-
Posting here again because Kisses From Hanoi/Horseshoes and Handgrenades has been in my CD player nonstop the past few weeks. Your music got me through highschool, and I appreciate it even MORE now that I'm older and understand more of the lyrics. I got nothin but these songs.
Do you have any more copies of Kisses From Hanoi left? I can't find mine and I've been hardcore pissed since my Hard drive crashed and now I don't have it (along with a few other records).
Saw a friend wearing a GC5 coat the other day. Talk about a nice thing to see. Ya know what an even nicer thing to see would be? You guys doin' a reunion and a show up in Detroit. Or we can come down there. Whatever works. Nevertheless, a reunion would be nice.
