Hey Green Day fans! We are The Green Day Authority, the largest fansite dedicated to Green Day. We like to think we're the best Green Day site ever, but we'll let you decide. Why create a website dedicated to a band? Well, obviously because that band kicks ass; but more importantly, because Green Day's fans kick ass! GDA was created to be the #1 resource for Green Day fans- our little place on the internet where we can gather together in the corner and enjoy ourselves.

We invite people to use our MySpace as another resource. We will post bulletins of updates on the site every once in a while (usually once a week) just to let people know whats going on, in case they aren't as obsessive as others in checking the site every day.

To make it totally clear - we do not have any official affiliation with the band. Meaning, we don't pretend to be Green Day and find those who do pretty lame. We're just here for the fans. Most of those are all fake- run by dumbasses who have nothing better to do than laugh at you.

About the site:
GDA started off over 8 years ago as a small site called "Courtney's Green Day Page". It was something GDA's founder, Courtney Smith, did for fun after she noticed other Green Day sites going down. Soon after, the site changed names to The Green Day Minority and slowly began climbing in popularity. The time came to make the site "real" with the buying of a domain name. www.greendayauthority.com was the name purchased just over 6 years ago, and since has become the largest Green Day fansite online.

GDA currently gets more hits than any Green Day fansite online, including the official one, greenday.net. Since its humble beginnings, GDA has taken a turn for the best. The site continues to grow daily with more visitors and even more content being pumped into the site over countless hours from our dedicated team. The site started as a one person hobby and has turned into a 10 person team business. Currently getting over 15,000 visitors every single day, our goal is to remain THE authority for Green Day news and stay loyal to our fellow Green Day fans.

GDA is recognized by Green Day and their management. We had the opportunity of meeting Green Day a couple times, and they let us know they liked what we did, and that in itself is more than we could have asked for. We love working on GDA and being able to interact with thousands upon thousands of Green Day fans- people who enjoy good taste in music, drugs, and kinky sex.
