I once heard a well known Evangelist from Birmingham, Alabama say, "the problem with most church folk is you have a whole lot SAVED people but not enough DELIVERED people. Saved people still do ANY and EVERYTHING in the book while delivered people truly have a heart to live right." As I look at my own life, I realize that I have absolutely NO ROOM to talk about or Judge anyone else! All the times I lied to myself about being "right", but still sleeping with different women, still watching porno movies, still lying, still manipulating, still back-biting and the list goes on. As I continue to grow in Christ I now understand that God isn't looking for perfect people, just ones that are SINCERE! To CONTINUALLY lie to yourself about whom you REALLY are is sad, but to lie to GOD is a complete and utter TRAGEDY! As you take a long calculated look at yourself, do you see a saved person looking back at you, or a delivered person? The church (us) is in a sad state of affairs when we truly care more about what PEOPLE think of us than what GOD thinks of us! Why is that? It is because we no longer have a REAL FEAR of God in us! Most of us can't truly face whom we are because we now hate what we've become. Bishop Jakes once said that, "the integrity of a man is not measured by what he does in the public eye, but how he lives behind closed doors".
