   About Sean James
Known as the "troubled troubadour", Sean James was born in Tallaght, Ireland. From an early age, his musical talent was clear to see; he was particularly adept on the pink oboe. Yet it was as a radio presenter that Sean was to make his mark. In 1984, he began hosting the popular Saturday morning show "Kiddie Fiddlers", featuring many superb young violin players. The following year, Sean released his debut single "War's Not Fair" which reached the dizzy heights of No. 79. Undeterred, his follow up single "Will You Be My Friend?" reached No. 2 whilst the album "Electric Ladyboyland" (a trans-gender concept album) stayed at No.1 for 28 weeks. But it was his 1990 Xmas single "Through The Sands Of Time" (written about Bobby Sands) which cemented his reputation as one of Ireland's finest musical exponents. His live shows were a joy to behold, with the highlight being his 15 minute musical performance of James Joyce's "Ulysses".

Alas, his 1995 comeback single "You Make My Whole Week (You Make My Hole Weak)" failed to make the Top 50. Dismayed and heartbroken from a short lived but torrid affair with Gay Byrne, Sean took refuge in alcohol and drugs, particularly Nurofen. The disintegration of the man was plain to see in his appearance on "The Late Late Show" in 1996. Upon Pat Kenny (the genial host) welcoming him to the programme at the beginning of their televised interview, Sean stuck his two fingers up and waved them in Mr. Kenny's face. He then proceeded to urinate over the other guest, Daniel O'Donnell. RTE had no choice but to ban him from the network.

Sean has not been seen in public since then, prompting rumours of him having had a sex change and answering to the name of Siobhan. His self-imposed period of hermitude continues; he has even been the subject of a play held at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin entitled "The Misery Of Being Sean James".

This page is long overdue. Sean James is underated and misunderstood genius.

He has fine taste in hats too.

I like your hippity hoppity music, the kids are gonna go wild for it, to be sure.
I think you should release a funky house remix of 'you make my hole weak', just don't hit a bum note and you'll not be bottom of the charts. Arse.
p.s do you know the black eyed paeds? I think you'd get on like a house with lots of kiddie fiddlers in it.
