Discovered by Bill Cosby, Gloria went from Broadway in Arnold Wesker's THE MERCHANT starring Zero Mostel (who died in Philadelphia and was replaced by Joe Leon) to Hollywood in Neil Simon's CALIFORNIA SUITE, playing Richard Pryor's wife and starring opposite Bill Cosby too. Maggie Smith won an Oscar for this movie which also starred Jane Fonda, Alan Alda, Walter Matthau, Elaine May and Michael Caine.

Gloria has also worked with Madonna, Tobey Maguire (2x), Whoopi Goldberg, Gabriel Byrne, Tracey Ullman, besides Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, John Candy, Bill Maher, Tyrese, among many others.

Besides being a recording artist, Gloria has starred or co-starred in HALLOWEEN II, 48 HRS., GOING BERSERK (starring John Candy and Ernie Hudson), D.C. CAB, THIS IS SPINAL TAP, BIG TROUBLE (starring Peter Falk and Alan Arkin and the last film directed by John Cassavettes) and VICE VERSA. Gloria has recurred as the principal on ABC-TV's LIFE GOES ON for 4 seasons, recurred on HANGIN' WITH MR. COOPER for 2 seasons, played "Darnetta" opposite Tracey Ullman on TRACEY TAKES ON... for 3 seasons and recurred on THE NANNY as well as guest starred on shows like ER, THE PRACTICE, SON OF THE BEACH.




Gloria taught directors and writers at famous American Film Institute (AFI) in the Masters' Program for 6 yrs and taught lawyers and rock singers and actors like PABLO SANTOS ("Greetings From Tucson"), EFREN RAMIREZ ("Napoleon Dynamite"), JENNA ELFMAN, LARRY THOMAS (The Soup Nazi from "Seinfeld", KYLE MASSEY ("Cory In The House"), BRIAN VAN HOLT, among many others.
