--------------------------------THE GHOST-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Ghost can appear literally anywhere – usually at night – so keep an eye out for their hauntingly beautiful music! A spine-tingling trio of highly spirited musicians, they have been seen far and wide from Shepherds Bush to Abertawe – via Oslo, Cork, Jakarta, Bognor Regis, Avignon and Cardiff to name but a few sightings.
Performing on a variety of instruments from Wash board to Ouije board, The Ghost can resurrect a range of ancient musical manifestations from all around including Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English and Shetland, and the occasional Appalachian, Cajun, Klezmer, Macedonian, Greek, French and Breton tune – with a tinge of jazz in Ceri McCoy’s accompaniments and some heartfelt songs from Ceri – including his unique rendering of Welsh Gaelic song.
The Ghost drift effortlessly between ethereal and poignant Celtic-inspired melodies and original tunes to highly rhythmic driving dance rhythms that would wake the dead.
To miss an appearance by The Ghost would be a grave error.

Ceri McCoy (Vocals, Guitar, Low Whistle and Bodhran) –
Born in Wales, to a Welsh-speaking family, Ceri brings his wealth of understanding and sensitive delivery of Gaelic song, combined with his outstanding versatility on a variety of instruments and a broad knowledge of arrangements through his study of Jazz and other music. Ceri has collaborated with many great musicians/performers including Linsey Pollack & The Saints as well as being a support act to Angelique Kidjo, Lucky Dube, Andy Irvine, Lunasa & The Bhundu Boys to name a few! Ceri utilises his deep knowledge of jazz arrangements to add some unusual chord voicings to the harmonies and some interesting syncopation to the Celtic rhythms.
His most recent gig of note was arranging for & playing in the Horn Section for Australian rock legends “The Saints” at their one-off reunion concert “Pig City” in July 2007 for The Queensland Music Festival.
