The Ghosties have a wide range of influences spanning from post-punk thrillers Devo to The Who to Duran Duran, alongside more modern bands such as Athlete, Gomez, The Killers and Muse. It’s hard to define exactly who or what influences the band but, what ever it is, it seems to work!

Hello everyone and welcome to the The Ghosties - an Ayrshire based, 3 piece Indie/Synth/Pop/Rock masterpiece!
Formed in 2003, full-time since 2004, the band have played in excess of 400 gigs to date. Alongside their commitment to touring extensively throughout the UK, The Ghosties have recently embarked upon their first european tour, taking their music to Holland, Belgium, Germany and France in the summer of 2007.
During their time together, The Ghosties have released 3 EPs, a live DVD, and have recently recorded their first single, "Poets & Killers", which they hope to release soon. As well as playing live, The Ghosties have enjoyed a respectable amount of exposure via radio - locally, nationally and internationally.
As a band, The Ghosties take great pride in receiving reviews and feedback on their live performances. Here are some examples of what people say:
“The band at once appears professional and well rehearsed. The rhythm and bass section is accurate and punchy, providing the perfect accompaniment to Davidson's tuneful hooks. What puzzles me most, perhaps, is why this band isn’t bigger already - they’ve got everything the Fratellis have and perform with a rivalled level of gusto, they love what they do and they do it superbly.” Review of our gig at The 13th Note, Glasgow 04/06/08, Vicki Cole - Independent....
"Exciting prospects", "Well crafted, and well honed songs that could open up doors for a band who are well known as a great live act." Rick Fulton - Daily Record....
"People couldn't help but dance through this engaging set", "It is very difficult to find fault with this band", "The night undoubtedly belonged to The Ghosties who I am sure we will be hearing a lot more of in the not too distant future." Review of our gig at the Glasgow Barfly 20/02/08, David E - The Mag....
"The vocals are strong and the lyrics thematic in imagery. One instrument plays off of the other like a ball of energy coagulating and expanding from its own friction." Review of our gig at Glasgow's King Tut's 22/03/08, Pinky Kansupada, Independent....
"The Ghosties are a diverse group and I think thats what makes them stand out as a band." Shane Chess - Shred Zone Magazine....
"This band are excellent live, they have a great sound and great songs, Keep it up lads." Sam - BBC Radio Cambridgeshire....
"We had the pleasure of inviting these guys all the way from Scotland as they are travelling all the way round the UK at the moment. These guys were easily my favourite band of the whole night. Their tunes were up beat and very catchy, especially 'The Marks' and 'Nights Of Pleasure'." Review from The Spencer (Coventry)....
"Indie pop rock call it what you will, if The Ghosties keep up the level of playability that they had in their set they should go far." X-posed Magazine....
Hey Guys, Good to meet you / work with you at the BMF. Sorry I couldn't be more sociable afterwards, got a bit hectic. Let me know if we can work together in the future. Until next time, cheers. Rob
