Rob Hirst and Rick Grossman return with the strongest ever Ghostwriters line-up: ex-Midnight Oil man Martin Rotsey on guitar, Lee Moloney on drums (Diesel, Lost Gospel), and producer/guitarist DC (Beau Young) on guitar/keys.
Ghostwriters new album, Political Animal, includes the single 'Start the Day', will be launched at the East Coast Blues & Roots Festival, at Byron Bay (April 8, 9).
The songs are tough, melodic, and retain the excitement and energy that comes from recording live in the studio. As Rick says, laughing: "This group is driven by powerful stuff - deep anger and resentment!"
Certainly, Political Animal was prompted by a sense of foreboding about world conflicts, and frustration with the government and their media lickspittles: "I felt I needed to match my money with my big ARIA mouth," says Rob, referring to his recent comments regarding the virtual disappearance of local protest music.
Rick has the final word: "Ghostwriters have evolved into a (shock, horror) rock band! The group has got the mix right, with a hard sound that mirrors the sentiment. And the passion burns bright."

Description: Bodylastics has been the #1 alternative to expensive home gyms & health clubs since 1998. The average person cringes at the thought of spending $500 and up to buy a home gym, or join a healthclub. We understand this! That's why we went to the drawing board 10 years ago. What we invented was Bodylastics - a workout system that is designed to provide workouts that rival the best and most expensive exercise machines

Hello Ghostwriters and myspace friends I'm also trying to make music that has lyrical poignancy...who knows but those who listen to it!! Saw you guys as a three-piece in Brisbane before the Shoalwater Bay protests, I stood about half a metre away from the big amp on the left and lost my hearing for the next few days. Loving the new album!
G'day fellas, love your music. I love also the fact that its politically inspired, not enough music is at the moment. Although I am nowhere near as talented as you are, (Indeed I'm probably below average talent-wise) all of my songs are also politically inspired. I'd be greatly honoured if you could find time to have a listen. I'm in another, betterish band called BlackSnake too, and thats also a "friend" of yours.
