R.I.P. JAY DEE (J DILLA) DONATE TODAY
Maureen Yancey gave birth to one of the greatest producers of our generation, James Yancey aka Dilla. She suffers from Lupus(her son also suffered from Lupus). Lupus is an auto-immune disease which results in cell and tissue damage and a host of related medical issues.
Mrs. Yancey is currently struggling to pay for her own medical bills and to keep her household running after the loss of one of her children. She reached out to us in an attempt to contact the fans
that were supporters of her son & his music. Please consider
donating to her today.

To Release isn't to forget, not to think about, or ignore. It doesn't leave feelings of anger, jealousy, or regret. It's not about pride and it's not obsessing or dwelling on the past. It's not about giving in or giving up. To let go is to cherish the memories, but to overcome and move on. Letting go is learning and experiencing and growing. To release is to be thankful for the experiences that made you laugh, made you cry, and made you grow. It's about all that you have, all that you had, and all that you will soon gain. Letting go is releasing and having the courage to accept change, and the strength to keep moving. It is realizing that the heart can sometimes be the most potent remedy. To let go is to open a door, and to clear a path and set yourself free---
TheGiantPeach.com, remember that it's easy to let go when holding on hurts so bad--so free yourself from all these expectations and just be :-) Hope you find the unity in my new single posted âReleaseâ feat. JRockA. So come peep the track! Stay creative and stay connectedâ¦

DETAILS: The “golden era” of hip hop was the 1980’s into the 1990’s where the music was experimental and eclectic, and the lyrics dealt with socially consequential themes of Afro-centricity and Political Militancy. The “golden era” was about freedom of expression and individuality, in distinct contrast to the marketing strategies and cookie-cutter rappers in today’s hip hop. Influenced by earlier forms of music such as R and B, Jazz and The Blues, Hip Hop was appreciated for its lyrical content, its musical depth and its stark differentiation from other musical genres of the day. This era is known for the flourishing of different regional styles and a freeing up of the manner in which rap music was written, composed and performed these regional styles contributed to much tension and rivalry as well. This friction was exploited by record companies to boost interest and sales. It is this rivalry along with other factors that led to a decline and eventual end of the Golden Age. Some of Hip Hop golden era artists were Public Enemy, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Kool Moe Dee, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, A Tribe Called Quest, Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, MC Lyte, KRS-ONE, NWA, Cypress Hill, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, Geto Boys, Big Punisher.
