the gills is a home recording project for ryan lagerstrom. self importance is the key driver here. the end of some bands rendered my songs homeless. so, i did want any self absorbed git would do .... go solo. the gills are born.
'engine note' is a collection of 8 songs made during 2005-2007 inside houses in annandale and stanmore. it was self released in may 2007. by self release, of course, i mean a stupid record label name was invented, some cds burnt, my girl was conned into making some cool artwork and my friends given a copy.
