"And now for something completely different...
The Gipton Removal Firm. Hip-hop that seems a bit low-budget at firsts, but is full of soul and humour in equal doses. Some decent beats and after a couple of listens you find yourself realising the MC is actually really good. Excellent "flow" as I believe the kids call it these days. The Streets would be an obvious comparison (probably the reason he name checks Mike Skinner in one of the tunes) but a track like Cigarette Encounter is gracious lo-fi art for the man on the street.
Nowthen,I started out djing as Doctor Strange in 1988 on Leeds pirate radio LFM-Lethal FM and in 1990 ICR-Inner City Radio where I became the UKs first dj to play a weekly British hip hop ONLY radio show. In 1991 i got into hardcore rave and in 1993 I started making music on the Amiga 500 along with DJ Battlescar we were called Take No Toys. In 1994 as Doctor Strange I became resident mc at Happy Headstrong,Mabgate Mills,Leeds along with DJ Chana. By 1995 the sound of Take No Toys had changed to a harder gabba sound and so a name change was needed and Extrement was formed. In 1998 we hooked up with DJ UEP and DJ Smurf from the Geordie Gabba Mafia and got our first release on DJ Freaks label Hard Of Hearing (No.8 GGM Vs Extrement). We had further releases in 1999 and 2000 on The Kiillout compilations on Suburban Trash Records along with a cd release on Fairway records. In 1999/2000 we also started running regular hardcore nights in Leeds called Live Fast And Die Hard and also did a few dodgy pa's at various nights alongside the Geordie Gabba Mafia. Since then I've held regular on/off nights dedicated to eclectic/mash up mixes called Cut N Paste. In 2005 I set up a hip hop project called The Gipton Removal Firm which is what you have here! None of which could be done without the help of musical production from DJ Bageera,Bubbz,Vinny Van Bommel,Breakbeat Junkie,The Cleaner,Janet Jinx,Necro and Non Phixion....wink,wink!

yowzer weeksy..its all gone round circles for me too....i was a dj at 10 playing electro hip hop.breaks..even disco..now electro is a type of music..???wot!!!no it is not!!!!i loved hip hop from the age ov 8...and it was positive music...it got all gangster when ice t...and nwa hit us...and rave took us to other place...it was like are hip hop for the uk....i still loved hip hop and bought all the gangster stuff..but got more into that seen in the late 80s....raves were amazin...goin to a field and setting up your decks..next too countless other sound systems..was just so good fun!!then when "the cirminal justice bill" hit! it was go to a club...no freedom..rave died that day..but for me the music from back then still good..even amazin(checkout my youtube channel djhdk..ive gotplaylists ov all the old skool rave).. its all the remixes...and like you say how many ways can you say thats dance over thats breakcore..trancey..???(and trance really killed it for me!!!) i never left the hip hop since..ever...my mates used to take the piss out ov me!!! "raves amazin..they would say""and its always gonna be here"...it died!!!! and now you have young kids running round making shit music...trying too be like the old skool....but apart from drum and bass its died!!!and it was a digtial death!! i went too a psytrance party.(about 2 year ago)...it was soo digital it nearly broke my ears....and all the people were wierdos!!!in ther little tents..not speaking too each other..k in...fook that!!! hip hop still got bubblegum rappers...but its still moving forward!!! i think hip hop saved my life as well!!!but you say hip hop to a 16 year old...and there say eminem....no its not its.. graff...breaking.beatboxing..rapping and djing..well turntablism!!!!i still do all those things!!!at 37!!! HIP HOP WILL NEVER DIE!!!ITS LIKE CLASSSICAL MUSIC OR JAZZ.... keep it hip hop weeksy...
