jogging on the spot like Tina Turner and the Ikettes, op-shopping, sewing mad 60's outfits, hotpants suits, false eyelashes, ridiculous amounts of eyeliner, Djing, collecting 60s/70s latin records, collecting other people's disgarded junk that i regard as treasure (particularly haberdashhhh!!!), graphic design,creating/editing music on protools, drinking scotch (double) on the rocks, flirting with intelligent rock boys (increasingly difficult to find), Go-Go Dancing, french/italian cinema, going surfing with Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Il Cattivo):

About me:
Miss Emma Peel is Melbourne's first lady of Go-Go. She has been spinning records and go-go dancing in swingin' joints since the age of 17, so she knows what's hip, baby. She hosts weekly radio shindig, SWITCHED ON, on PBS FM (106.7FM): an eclectic journey through the musical forest of badass boogaloo, bossa, spicy sound library, funky 'n' latin soul (sometimes both!), now sound and other rare groovy stuff. From 2001 - 2007 Miss Peel hosted Melbourne's longest running Go-Go club called Blow-Up - The wildest and most unique monthly event in Australia which featured Go-Go dancers in cages, bands, psychedelic lighting and suave DJ's playing 6Ts underground tunes. These days Emma can be found spinning wild tunes in bars and special events in Melbourne and other parts of the world. She has been resident DJ at Red Door Burlesque since its inception in 2007. She also spins at monthly gigs Soul Searchin, Black Caesar and makes occasional guest appearances at Soul A Go Go.
In 2003, Miss Peel supported the 5.6.7.8's as part of their Australian tour. She also Dj'd at numerous other hip happenings including the Melbourne Fringe Festival, the 2008 and 2009 Falls Festival Funk 'n' Soul Review with a bunch of Australia's finest Dj's and bands such as Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings. She has Dj'd in Italy at the prestigious Connie Douglas Club (Milan) and Ne Nous Fachon Pas (Paris) alongside psych/prog DJ vixen, Shazzula!
Miss Peel graduated from the Bob Fosse School of Sophisticated Dancing in 2004 and is often found go-go dancing wildly in nightclubs far and wide - from Australia to Europe. During daylight hours she is a model and all-round dolly bird. You can check out her SWITCHED ON PBS FM WEBPAGE BY CLICKING HERE! HEY CHUMPS- SOME POINTS FOR YOU TO MAKE A NOTE OF:
- i receive a lot of messages each day, so i may take a while to respond to your message, ok? Nothing personal. - PLEASE DO NOT leave comments plastered with flyers and/or ENORMOUS spiels about some gig that's coming up.I REFUSE TO ADVERTISE EVENTS FOR YOU. MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS. -VINTAGE STORES PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU PUT IN A FRIEND REQUEST: I AM EXTREMELY UNLIKELY TO PURCHASE YOUR CLOTHING. I LIKE BARGAIN SHOPPING, NOT PRICEY ITEMS. CHEERS
-i seldom approve comments which say "thanks for the add". THIS TYPE OF GENERIC, BLAND COMMENT MAKES ME SO ANGRY. TRY TO BE A BIT IMAGINATIVE OR ELSE DONT COMMENT AT ALL. THANKS
Salut, non nouvel ami. You are so fabulous Mrs. Peel, I love cruising your MS page! I'm zipping up my mini boots right now -gonna shake a tail feather in your honor and to your groovy beats. Aimez-vous la fille! xoxo
Hey Miss Fantastic! Everything has been wild... I am in Firenze at the moment, having just survived Amsterdam and Oktoberfest with a badly scraped knee as a souvenir! Milano in 2 days... everything has been fabulous! Still over a month to go, and then I shall be back in Melbourne town for stories over cocktails... ciao bella!
