Emily, Kelly & Kara's Blurbs

About me:
Our names are Emily, Kelly and Kara Gayhart. Emily is the one in the middle. Kelly is on the left and Kara on the right.
Emily was adopted first. Though she didn't get to meet her new parents for about 6 months. She stayed with her grandparents. Her parents were in California, but then they moved to Ohio in 2003. Emily is part beagle and part springer spaniel. Her former family gave her away because "she had gotten aggresive towards the kids in the daycare that was run out of their house". We think that a kid had teased her or something. Her temperment is very nice. Even at age 5 she is learning alot! She loves to stalk the squirrels that come in the back yard.
Kelly and Kara were adopted in 2004, from a rescue in Ohio. They were rescued from Caleb's Canine Rescue! Their former family dropped them off at an animal shelter in Youngstown. There was no history on them, so we think that since they look so much alike that they came from the same litter. They were going to be put down, but Caleb's Canine Rescue got to them first. We think their former family abused them. Kelly is very cautious around strangers, and Kara is too, though not as much. They were very under nourished. Kelly weighed about 16 lbs and Kara about 14 lbs. You could see Kara's ribs. Two years later, at age 4, Kelly is about 18-19 lbs and Kara 16-17 lbs! They love chasing squirrels! Now they have learned from Emily how to stalk them!

The Wizard....RIP Candy	Jan 31 2007 5:13 PM Gorgeous Girls!!! How are you doing? I just wanted to come to your page and look at some pretty women to get my blood pumping. Well...I had to tell on Shadow this morning. Daddy was suppposed to be babysitting, but as usual wasnt doing a top notch job. Shadow decided to take the night light in the hall down and play with it. I was afraid he might get in trouble, so I let Daddy know by using big eyes that the noise in the hall was because Shadow was doing something wrong. It was for his own good. He keeps bringing leaves inside and making a mess tearing them up. Mommy got Salem a new toy to keep her busy. It's a round thing with a ball in it that she can chase. She can't get the ball out, so maybe she will wear herself out! Hope you are enjoying your Wednesday. They are calling for snow here tonight!!! We are excited about that, since we dont get much of that. Carmen and mommy are hoping it WILL snow, because that means they probably wont have to go to school/work tomorrow. We dont get snow much here, so they dont have all the equipment to clear roads, so things just get pretty much paralyzed when we have snow and ice. Lick ya later, Wizzy

The Wizard....RIP Candy	Jan 21 2007 3:06 PM My Beauties!! I am kinda disgusted right now. Mom and dad had been looking for another puppy to train in scent like Miranda. Well...I just thought they were..you know..."talking" about it. They went to Knoxville yesterday and there was a lady who rescues dogs and cats and just happened to have exactly what they were looking for. Daddy wanted a black lab/German Shepherd mix for the new dog. He apparently had one a long time ago named Sampson. He has done nothing but talk about what a great and smart mix that was and how he really wanted another one to train. When Sampson died, he got Ghost and trained him and he became Sampson's Ghost. They got Miranda about a year before they were going to retire Ghost, so she would be fully trained by the time they retired him. Well....daddy had been talking about Sampson a lot lately. Mommy found this 10 week old dog that looks just like Sampson, apparently. Well....daddy fell in love with him, so mommy was all for getting him for daddy. They came bringing him in last night, after having left Miranda, Salem and me at home most of the day with this black puppy. They have named him Sampson's Ghost's Shadow and are calling him Shadow. Well...you know me...I am a friendly sort of fella....I did my part....I wagged my tail, sniffed him, let him sniff me in all the right places...you know...I greeted him all nice and cordial. That was before I realized he was STAYING. Carmen had her best friend with her when they got home, so I thought he was Bethany's new puppy....not OURS. I got SO mad, I sulked, gave dirty looks, frowned my face up big time, wouldnt look at him, walked away when he tried to play with me and all that. I had JUST accepted Salem, you know. Miranda hasnt even done THAT yet. Well....she seems to have accepted the puppy. Mommy told her she has to teach him the ropes. She told ME that I was lucky to have two big brothers who didnt mind ME jumping on them and how much they loved me and I need to be a good big brother to Shadow. Sheesh. I dont know about this. First I had to accept a kitten and now THIS! Well...that is MY story for today. Wish me luck. Lots of licks, The Wiz

Sorry it has taken me so long to get my messages answered.......besides the fact she was gone the past 3 weekends, she now has a sore throat and ear infection. The kitten has been running around crazy. Mommy got a few pictures of us together, but she wont sit still long enough for her to get any good pictures. Miranda still acts like she wants to eat her. Here it is another weekend and they are going to Knoxville Saturday for the day for Carmen to do something about All State Choir. They are leaving us to hold down the fort. Licks! Wizard

The Wizard....RIP Candy	Jan 6 2007 6:38 PM Hey girls!!! How is 2007 treating you so far? Things here are Ok other than the fact a little black kitten has decided it wants to live at our house. Miranda and I keep stressing out about it. It's small and makes this weird noises...not a bark...but little noises. Mommy is afraid Miranda and I are going to bust the glass out of the french doors because the kitten keeps coming to the back door to look at us. Lick ya later, Wizard

I decided to let Miranda do most of the work on unwrapping stuff...especially our joint gifts. We each got 2 gifts that were just for us and our stockings and they a few together. I didnt want to use up all my energy, in case I needed it to beg again at supper time. hehe It's cold here today....brrrrrrrr....Mommy fussed when I took too long outside doing my business. Be good and I will catch up with ya later. It's almost lunch time and I am wondering if they are going to be bringing turkey out again. Yum Wiz
The Wizard....RIP Candy	Dec 24 2006 10:42 PM Gorgeous women! Ready for Christmas? I have been helping clean up what mommy drops in the kitchen today as she has been cooking stuff for lunch tomorrow. She has all her stuff done except the turkey. Can't wait to get some of that, too! We are happy because we got Carmen home last night and all is right with the world again. We are excited about Santa Paws coming tonight. One of mommy's friends sent us each a raw hide bone and I took mine under Carmen's computer desk and ate it, then moved to mommy and daddy's room and ate it there, then to the guest room, then back to Carmen's room. Miranda finished her's before I finished mine....pig! Well....hope you have a great Christmas. Lots of licks, Wizard
