Dana's Bio - Hosting "The Girly Spot" is a dream come true for me. I've wanted to be on the radio ever since I was 12 years old... I was a radio "groupie" and I used to nag the DJ's at my favorite station in Boston until they finally let me come in for a tour of the station. I was hooked!
Over the years I've been on the air in Portland, ME, Danbury, Boston, Tampa, Nashville, Chattanooga, Jackson Mississippi, and I even did some shifts in Los Angeles. I run Dana's Dirt, a celebrity gossip website. I also do a gossip segment on radio stations in San Antonio, Columbus, Tallahassee, and others.
When Jeannine Jersey approached me two summers ago about coming to work for 'TIC, I was so excited to find out they wanted to try doing a girl talk show because it's something I've always wanted to do. I always felt like I had more to say than what could fit over a 20 second song intro... I was up for a new challenge and ready to take the next step in my career. I couldn't be happier with how the show has grown and I'm excited about the future!
I have an amazing almost 3 year old daughter Kyla, Lord help me if she wants to be on the radio like her mommy! She is the cutest little thing ever and my world revolves around her. I have a wonderful boyfriend - you know him as "C-Man" if you listen to the show... He adores my daughter, supports my career, lets me talk about our sex life on the air (and gives me plenty to talk about!), and meeting him has really changed my life for the better... Let's just say I've kissed a lot of frogs and I've found my prince!
Roz's Bio - Hi! Welcome to my bio! What should I tell you first? I am 39, married, and have only recently begun my career in radio. I started out in the field of counseling when I was twenty, and worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for many years. I still hold a license in Connecticut in that field. I moved on to become a marriage and family therapist for awhile, and have a Master's degree from Antioch University.
I eventually realized that my great love was sharing information with people. I took a job at a University as the Director of the Wellness Center, where I was the main Health Educator for the school's undergraduate population. This included quite a bit of sex education, which became a particular passion of mine. I really enjoy getting talking to people about sexuality as a part of a healthy life, and being a whole person. I believe that an open attitude toward sex is very healing.
I still teach part time at a local college, and enjoy my work there tremendously. Radio has brought me an opportunity to talk about all of these aspects of health, relationships, sex and life.
