Influences
The seven of us each bring our own influences both traditional and modern, melding them into a sound uniquely ours. If we had to make a list, it might include U2, Johnny Cash, Great Big Sea, The Pogues, Rush, The Who, and the canons of bluegrass and Celtic music.

Big Black Stout
The Gleasons, one of the most enjoyable and energetic bands in the Milwaukee area, have been together with their current lineup since 2004. The Gleasons' music consists mostly of their own original tunes, with some cover songs and traditional Celtic music with their own twist; it all blends together into a mixture of traditional Irish, Americana, rock, bluegrass, and American pop. They can be sweet, but they can rock hard too! The band takes their musicianship seriously, and they also know how to have fun--their energetic live shows will have you dancing and singing along to songs about Ireland, love, and nights at the pub with dear old friends. Join them for a show- you'll have a great time!
Places The Gleasons have performed include: Irish Fest, O'Connors Perfect Pint, O'Donaghues Pub in Elm Grove, The Irish Cultural and Heritage Center, The House of Guinness in Waukesha, Slim McGinn's, Westown Farmer's Market, Erin's Snug Irish Pub in Madison, the Bradley Center pre-Bucks game show, Mo's Irish Pub, The State Fair Inn, Western Days Fair, The Wisconsin State Fair, Port Washington Maritime Festival, and many events benefiting a variety of great causes.
When y'all gonna play an outdoor show? Like where dogs can come? Irish Fest doesn't count- even though I tell them I'm part Setter, they never let me in. Dogism!!!
Hope you are SURVIVING these crazy economic times! Enjoy our new video "Whiskey Tonight" and stop by our site for a FREE download of the new song. Yes, something for FREE. Cheers!
so i sawe you guys on St Patrick's day (i was the one with the Gleason family crest tattooed on me)and i loved you! so in true Irish procrastinating fashion, it took me until now to find you. You should play O'Connors again soon!
Hey just popped in...as the biggest supporter of Milwaukee Irish music that lives in Boston, I often swing by your page just to wish I could see you more often than the two times I've seen you at Irish Fest.
But I'm quite happy to hear there is a new song to listen to (at least, new since the last time I saw your page...) in Get Up. And damn, it's a great song!
Thanks for being our friend, you've got some catchy tunes.
We will be playing this Thursday, June 19th at Linneman's. The show starts at 10:00 and singer/songwriter Carrie Melton will open the show. Hope to see you there!
So, I went to a hair place and had my hair colored. I told Brian, "it's red! For St. Patrick's Day!" and he said..."I thought St Patrick's Day was green." Doh! Now I have to go back and have them fix it...
