Glyn Styler is a New Orleans based singer/songwriter who served as a multi-instrumentalist for numerous bands including NY punk icon Lydia Lunch, L.A.'s Green On Red, and Tav Falco's Panther Burns from Memphis before embarking on his extraordinary solo career as vocalist and composer.
Combining the musical techniques and theatrics of the great "saloon singers" (Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Scott Walker) with the swaggering attitude of his childhood heroes (Lou Reed, Bowie, Iggy Pop) Glyn Styler formulated an indelible vocal style and persona which over time has developed into a totally unique and personal vision.
Together with long-time collaborator Rene Coman, Glyn Styler has fashioned a compelling new catalog of pop/rock songs that curiously couple "old-school" craftsmanship with modern lyrical themes that would make Sinatra spew his Jack Daniels...
In 2001, Glyn Styler appeared in legendary exploitation filmmaker Doris Wishman's "Satan Was A Lady" as Ed Baines. ("Glyn Styler's voluptuously crooned ballads are alone worth the admission price" - Village Voice 3/07/01)
