The Goats started out as an instrumental rock/jazz band, but after exchanging one songwriter for another they have evolved into something unique.
To call it countrified punk folk rock-core would not be wrong, although it might not be right either. The present line up has been together since October 2005, and the music, much like the influenza virus, is constantly evolving.
