Catherine and Michael John have been playing music together for about 8 years or so and long ago they both agreed that some day, some how they would make an album worth of songs together. Several weekends spent in Michael John's living room last year culminated in the recording of many many songs. Too many songs, in fact, to decide which ones to put on an album. So instead the duo plan to release an EP each season for the next 8 years or so. Their third EP, Heart Thump Heart Thump, will be available soon on www.thegoawaybirds.com

or galleries) and promoters who are active within their own area to
join the Tune Up industry database.
Tune Up, the Scottish Arts Council scheme, currently funds artists and
musicians to tour to many outlying areas. We’d like to increase this
and involve as many new promoters and venues as possible. If you are a
venue or a promoter who is interested in booking a Tune Up show for our
2009/2010 season, add your details to the industry mailing list and
