The God Project formed in 2003 from northeast Kansas electronic acts Assembly of God and Fata1 Error. We spent about six months working before playing the first show with Terrorfakt & E-Craft the fall of that year.
From inception, being an industrial-electronic band in Kansas has had its perks and punishments. The lack of a built-in fan base gives way to the advantage of being one of few industrial bands on the plains, and many opportunities to play with national acts, anytime some promoter wasn’t quite sure which band to book on the bill.
In five years, TGP has shared the stage with [name-dropping warning] Genitorturers, Godhead, Imperative Reaction, KMFDM, Mindless Self Indulgence, Julien-K, Slick Idiot, More Machine Than Man, Mankind is Obsolete, Screaming Mechanical Brain, Die Symphony, Celldweller, VAST, Psyclon 9, Black Light Burns, Seasons After and more…(we’ll play with anybody)

God Project has been fortunate to call a variety of talents it’s own, with various contributors and a few “guest stars along the way, and the lineup has progressed with the band, morphing from a purely electronic project to a full band, still staying true to our electronic and industrial roots.
