In this story, four friends from similar rural backgrounds have formed The Golden Gears, a Rock & Roll band based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
The odds seemed to be stacked against them or something and there are probably other compelling plot points that require masterful doses of foreshadowing, etc., but we’re going to stick to the basics. Genres are crap. The bands that they listen to are not relevant to this story. And let’s face it, no one is reinventing the wheel. This band was formed over a love of good songwriting and stripped down tones.
Look, here’s how it works: Go to one of their shows and if you like it, you like it…If you don’t, then something is probably wrong with you. You probably have bad taste…or a brain tumor. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that’s probably what it is. Don’t get mad at me because you don’t go to the doctor at regular intervals.
The Golden Gears recorded an EP at Lake Fever Productions in Nashville, Tennessee. That EP has joined forces with some live tracks recorded at the 5 Spot in Nashville to be available on one disc. The Golden Gears are currently touring the Southeast, and have plans to expand to the Far East sometime in the near future. Members of The Golden Gears have shared the stage with Year Of The Rabbit, Eyes Adrift, The Katies, Porter Hall Tennessee, The Detroit Cobras, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Kings Of Leon, and many many others.
