The Goodland is a harmony driven folk, rock, reggae band with a sound derived from the powerful yet sultry vocals of lead singer Jess Goldman, and the dance beats of bass guitarist Matt Meyer, drummer Mark Dibenedetto and vocalist/lead guitarist Corey Linberg. The Goodland's live shows mix a blend of rootsy dance rhythms, melodic harmonies, tight jams, and witty songwriting all with the purpose of letting people let loose on the dance floor. With a wide range of influences such as reggae, americana, R&B, soul, funk and rock, The Goodland always brings an eclectic, yet danceable mix to any live show or MP3 player.
We are inviting fellow musicians from our favorite local bands to our CD Release party this coming Friday, Aug. 21st at the Cabrillo Arts Center down at East Beach. The doors open at 8pm, and the show starts at 8:30. Our buddy Tommy Cantillon (from Tommy & the High Pilots) will be performing acoustic, and DJ Jay Dubb will be spinning all night long.
