Micki Croisant & The Good Name Band is an acoustic trio born in the heart of Rogers Park in Chicago, IL. this band is known for Micki's timeless vocals show cased by her original songs...
Keith(drums) and Davide (bass) have been playing together for years in many different bands, and when the three met up for the first time it was like they had all been playing together for a long time... like meeting your oldest friends for the first time!
Born and raised in michigan, Micki Croisant has a unique perspective when it comes to song writing, uneducated musically she picked guitar up by ear and most of the time has no idea what the name of the chords are she is playing... that's where Berkley trained Davide and total pro. Good evening, Madam! The show was groovin'! We will be the featured act this Monday (June 29th) before the FINAL Subterranean open mic ever! (I'm certainly gonna be a little weepy) but Sarah and I would be honored if you could come check us out at 8 or so and then you guys should totally do some open micin' of your own! It would also be cool to tell the others from the Sub T crew about the glorious time you have up north on Thursdays because there's going to be a ton of folks lookin' for a new happening. Hope to see you there!
I guess we were already friends ha.. anyway LOVE your songs.. especially that uke song .. makes me wanna learn the uke now lol.. good seeing ya, sounded awesome I love your voice!

Oh Micky you're so fine, Micky you just blow my mind. Hey Micky. HEY MICKY!!! I miss all of you guys very much as well. I am going through a whole lot right now. I don't know if I can ever perform again. But maybe I'll come by and just have a beer. Probably in January. Does your boyfriend have a myspace page or any web page with his songs on them yet? Sorry I forgot his name. Its been a while, like you said. Take care, M.
I'll be in Evanston/Wilmette for LilFest (myspace. com/lilfest) in a couple of weeks. I start the whole thing off with a show at Bills Blues on 9/11. Chicago's Michi will be my violin. Hope to see you and your friends there.
We're back we're back! We should be there on Thursday. :)
We all need to hang out outside of gigs/open mics sometime in this gorgeous summer. I can only envision good times. (Or as we CS boys say "good time lions"--being the opposite of bad news bears).
You are so cool.. Ok I'll try to make it out to the open mic next thursday.. I am just not sure what songs I should play... The last time I played there a guy from the bar said something like "is there another bar to go to"... I got this feeling like my music was annoying people at the club.. This thursday I got something else going on but I'll try to make it out next week if I get a chance to practice three songs... Actually one of the things I am looking to do is play an actual gig even open for some band, etc. If you can think of any ideas please let me know.. I contacted Brettly from the Redline Tap but haven't heard anything back. I'd hate to go all the way out to California to play an actual gig.. But two of my top 4 are now in California and said they would set up a show for me.. (Philip Latch and The Murky Water District). You should check out the first song I have on my player. Philip Latch wrote a song called "Sharing Night" I think it is one of the most thoughtful things that anyone has done for me. Has Ian got any songs loaded up on myspace yet? What about that guy "Mike" I think with the beard.. He played a bunch of pixie songs last time I was there. Does Mike have any myspace page?
This may very well be the last post I'll be able to make on myspace. Micki, thanks and I really really really appreciate your kindness. I was always in awe of the kind of performers who sing at the open mic. I was totally suprised how nice you all were to me despite the fact that my music is a bit different and singing, etc, etc. I got a nice vibe there and you are a good ring leader of positivity. Being the fact that the "myspace monster" as you appropriately stated is now deleting me again, I don't have much more time left here in this virtual reality where we musicians are forced to spend so much time typing away. You should read wreckelss eric's blog about myspace. He was right.. Maybe I'll stop by one of these days... Take care.
