ABOUT US
"The fact that they possess a sound that is both accessible enough for mass appeal and intelligent enough for the approval of beardoes up and down the land may very well make them unstoppable" LIVE MUSIC SCENE (www.live-music-scene.co.uk)
"The Goodness are not at all ordinary, in fact, they're actually a bit special!!!" TOXIC PETE (www.toxicpete.co.uk)"It’s obvious why The Goodness have attracted a loyal Bristol fan base in the year they’ve been together; they offer something that we’ve been missing - catchy tunes with a bit of genuine feeling for once." SUIT YOURSELF MAGAZINE"A band made up of five very talented lads.... They’ve got some real power behind them.... This band doesn’t hold back on their performance, which resulted in a very strong seven song set." (Live Review) LIVE MUSIC SCENE (www.live-music-scene.co.uk)"Fast paced, chug-riffing electro swirls... they’re smartly, hookily effective." (Live Review)
VENUE MAGAZINE
The Goodness are five 18/19 year olds with their roots based in the city of Bristol. They formed in 2007 and played their first gig at the Louisiana just two months later.
In October 2008 they were invited to the prestigious Sawmills Studios in Cornwall to work with John Cornfield (Muse, Supergrass, Razorlight) and Paul Travers (Co-founder of The Eden Project and Sessions).
They also recently went to the highly acclaimed Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, which has been home to bands such as Queen and Oasis amongst many others.
Their sound is based around compelling vocals and soaring, sing-a-long choruses.
Thanks to their energetic live shows they now have an ever growing loyal fan base as well as building a strong reputation on the Bristol Music Scene and they have supported the likes of Red Light Company & Golden Silvers.
Look out for their music and enjoy!

Hey guys, great gig and atmosphere at the Louie last night. (oh and you also sounded superb when I saw on 5 December in a much quieter Louisiana!) Loved the new and old songs, and pleased to hear the keyboards coming through nicely in the mix too. Well done on the Reef cover, it sounded great. Btw did you know they've reformed?! So if you're fans they're at the Academy on 21st April 2010!! Happy Xmas, and keep up the good work in 2010.
Great to see you guys on Friday, thanks for coming along! Gutted I can't come and see you on 5th (me and Chris off to Dublin to see Sonic Youth!). Hopefully get to the Croft acoustic effort and deffo get to the 23rd Louis show!
