have been playing Philadelphia venues such as The Khyber, The Fire, and The “M” Room, since January 2008. With Mike Schraeger writing the majority of songs and Jonah Delso and Ian Charlton contributing with some of their own tunes, the band’s sound is diverse, yet cohesive. Always constant are Schraeger’s well-placed guitar riffs and Delso’s bass lines that are sure to move your feet. Combine that with Mike Ziegler’s powerhouse drumming, Faith Charlton’s haunting vocal harmonies and synth counter melodies, and Ian’s strat-twanging rhythm guitar and you have Goodnight Lights.
The band's sound encompasses the charm and diversity of Pavement and the Velvet Underground. This is mixed with the twisted pop sensibilities of Pixies and Built to Spill and raw urgency of the Replacements, Arcade Fire and the Stooges.
The band’s makeup is as unique as their sound. Mike Schraeger (28), lead singer and songwriter of the Goodnight Lights has been writing songs and playing in local bands, such as Futureman, Mezzrow, and Reverie, for the past decade. Schraeger, Faith (26), and her brother, Ian (21), all with musical backgrounds, decided to start a band in the summer of 2007. They recruited up and coming Philadelphia pop-rocker, bassist Jonah Delso (21), and ex-drummer for the Young Lords of Toledo, Mike Ziegler (34), who just happened to be living two doors down from the Charltons.
Goodnight Lights released their self-titled debut album (shown above) on April 24, 2009.

8) I wish it was not 21+. To isolate those that need my music more than anymore causes a shiver deep behind my stiff looking balloons. You know? I'm excited though. We shall share a nice awkward interaction and begin to inspire each other. Have fun till then and beyond then! Here's something to stare at: It's was done with my 35mm camera with a multi-exposure feature. No manipulation at all! Yum..
