The Gorilla Dance Band is the source and paterfamilias of Texas Psychadelic Funk ™ which is either an amalgamation of rock, soul, blues, funk and the like or what you find stuck to the bottom of your flip-flop after a long walk on the beach at Galveston. We aren't 100% sure which.
Either way the GDB is a good-time party band based out of Spring and The Woodlands just NW of Houston, TX. We've done weddings, corporate parties, bars, music festivals and are game for just about anything (bar mitzvah's, cotillions, etc. - you name it, we'll rock it). As long as it pays decently and what you want musically matches what we've got, we're your band. Need a band to play "You Shook Me All Night Long" at a wedding? We've done that (it was the bride & grooms favorite song and a special request). You name it and we'll give it a try - just don't be surprised if it sounds a little different after we spread some Texas Psychadelic Funk ™ on it.
