When you listen to this song, I want you to know that you are someone worth loving - even if you don’t love yourself. You are someone worth holding - even when no one around you sees your pain.
“You are” is for everyone who has ever struggled with low self-esteem. Maybe you think that you are alone? You think that no one loves you. Maybe you don’t even love yourself? You don’t think that you are special.
But you are wrong. And you are not alone. God loves you. He cares about your life and your pain. His thoughts about you are different than yours. I know that this can be hard to believe. Trust me. I know.
I hope this song will help you change the way you think about yourself. I hope that you will be able to break free of the negative thoughts holding you back. You don’t have to go through life alone. God is reaching out to you. Take His hand and allow Him to love your pain away.

MY PASSION!
I am a Danish songwriter, producer, choir director and promoter.
Songwriter:
Writing songs – that is my PASSION! When I sit alone at night by the piano, I can express thoughts and feelings through my music that I can't share with anyone. I can be just the way God created me – this is a place I don’t have to pretend to be someone I’m not. Sometimes these moments turn into a song. All my songs are very personal. I don’t write about stuff I have read in a book – I write about my life. My songs are being sung and recorded all over Europe, in the US, in Japan and even in Africa.
Producer:
Producing music in the studio – that IS my passion! I love working in the studio. Finding just the right mix and adding just the right instruments to make the music come to live. Right now I am producing my 4th CD with my original songs recorded by Opstand Gospel Choir. I just finished producing and writing an album for Colin Vassell (UK). You can listen to one of the tracks in my player: song 2 "Come on and praise". I couldn’t do what I do in the studio without my good friend and co-producer Andy Holtti.
Choir director:
Directing the choir – THAT is my passion! No matter if I direct 20 singers or 1500 – I just love leading them to a place in the music where the music itself becomes secondary! A place where the words of the song touch just the place inside that needs to be touched. When I direct a choir I encourage the singers to step out of the “safe zone” where they are in control. To me directing a choir is about so much more than just music!
I direct several choirs. One of them is the largest choir in Europe (to my knowledge): Copenhagen Gospel Voices with 500 voices. I am also the director of Opstand Gospel Choir, which is a kind of Danish All-Star choir. Listen to the songs in my musicplayer.
Promoter:
Setting up a big music event – that is MY passion! To be in a huge concert hall watching hundreds of smiling people singing or dancing at a music event I organized... now, THAT is a great feeling. I am not afraid to make other choir directors, singers or musicians look good on “my” stage! I believe we should help each other to reach for the potential God has given us - instead of trying to competing and trying to be the best...
I currently manage and promote close to 15 projects – gospel workshops with up to 1000 singers, concerts, recordings and much more.
Gospel music – THAT IS MY PASSION!
I work with gospel / Christian music. That means that all my songs talk about God – in one way or another. I am not afraid to tell God when there are things in my life I don’t understand! I am not afraid to tell Him when my heart is hurting... and I am not afraid to ask God “WHY?”! I am not afraid to do that because I know that He understands me. He has been faithful to me through hard times, and that is why I can not keep quiet! He has held my hands, wiped my tears and lifted me up.
“Gospel” means “Good news” – and knowing a God who cares about me... well, if THAT isn’t good news, I don’t know what good news is.
