About me: The Gospel News is a highly acclaimed national Christian Newspaper and Street Ministry birthed from a vision given to Bishop Dr. Jesse Harris. In his vision Bishop Harris saw very few people reading the Holy Bible and GOD spoke to him to create a means by which “the Word of GOD” could be shared by all, worldwide.
Utilizing his faith, praying for clarity on his vision and Proverbs 29:18, the Holy Spirit guided him and showed him things to come and so he began The Gospel News newspaper, Street Ministry and Breakfast Ministry – The Father (the newspaper administering his Word); the Son (the street ministry speaking his Word) and Holy Spirit (the breakfast ministry providing food for the mind, body and soul).
The Gospel News is a national newspaper that provides its readers with positive news; powerful soul-stirring God ordained messages; up and coming gospel artists; conferences and workshops, entertaining performances … an actual what’s going on nationally in the Christian world. The Gospel News provides what’s happening in the church, church events, concerts, sermons, music reviews, spots-light Christian businesses, acknowledges birthdays and weddings and much more.
The Gospel News Street Ministry witnesses to people in the streets and/or wherever we find someone desiring or seeking to hear God’s word. We seek to meet people where they are through the arts, education, advocacy and accompaniment. The challenging work of the ministry is to turn belief around by facilitating a series of small successes that will eventually lead to self-sufficiency.
The Gospel News Breakfast Ministry is an outreach breakfast program that feeds the homeless every Sunday morning along with a power message from God throughout the year. The Breakfast Ministry is staffed by volunteers from the community and collects and distributes necessities to the homeless.
The motto of the Gospel News is Psalms 23: 1-6 … “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”
