It began with a dream. When two high school friends from Rhode Island decided to turn their love for music into something more, their dream became a goal. Former drummer TJ Soto and guitarist Matt Tremblay got together with some other schoolmates to form what is known today as The Gradual. Even though the original lineup didn't last, the goal did.
Years later TJ met guitarist Maty Vamp, who had previously been playing music with singer Berkley Myers. The three of them got together with Tremblay for a jam session that would change their lives forever. All sharing that same original goal, the chemistry was instant. To complete the band, Tremblay knew of a bassist who would be perfect for the mix. Ben Ogni was just that bassist. With the lineup then complete, the five band members decided to keep the original name The Gradual. They knew nothing happens overnight, but everything happens for a reason.
The whole story of The Gradual is long, eventful, sad, happy, funny, disgusting, and delicious. All that matters now is that they're still here and getting closer to turning their goal into a reality with every passing day.
