Not so much (or at all) a band as a collection of both amateur and proffessional musicians creating their own scene in the neighborhood. Sean Cleland hosts the Irish Jam on Sunday nights. Jack Clark, famed author, songwriter and cab driver manages open mic nights on Mondays. Mark Dvorak, another folk legend and teacher, leads a folk jam on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month. Graham Green, indy songwriter, brings his songwriter showcase to the Grafton on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. And the Pickin' Bubs, Chicago's new folk, come in on the 4th Tueday. Then every other Wednesday the Grafton presents Simon Flory. The Graftons' proximity to the Old Town School attracts a long list of special guests and legendary musicicians popping in for a beer, burger or a song or two. A must for players trying out new material.
