The Grande Nationals are Stevie Michael (vocals), Scotty Hagen (bass), Adam Hill (drums) and Tony Vegas (guitar). They formed in the smoky bar scene of Detroit Michigan late February 2003, drawn to each other through there addiction for music.
A few months after forming the band was selected out of hundreds to perform at the 2004 Rock City Music Festival. The Grande Nationals impressed a crowd of over 3,000 of their growing fan base with their dynamic stage performance. They followed their performance with an opening slot on the Grande Funk Railroad show at the famed DTE Energy Music Theater, the 2005 MCM Music Conference, and the 2005 & 2006 Vans Warped Tour.
The band continues to gain recognition with press write ups and airplay from stations such as CIMX 88.7 & Internet radio station RIFF2. Other acts they have performed with include The Supersuckers, The Living End, The Pink Spiders, The Sounds, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Danko Jones and the legendary Dictators.
Channeling retrofitted rock n roll, catchy riffs and pop beats their sound captures the familiarity of timeless rock but remains eminently fresh and original. The Grande Nationals blend together irresistible hooks, intense lyrics and raw energy to create an addictive sound forged by an eclectic array of musical influences.

I just succeeded in creating the first ever Grande Nationals Guitar Hero III controller! Still waiting for the all Detroit version of the game, though!
So, Nathan and I just found out we're expecting a little rockstar this Fall. You should feel very honored because the Grande Nationals were his/ her first rock show Friday! Gotta start 'em off right! :D
It was a rock spectacle to behold. It must have to suck following that kind of performance. One of the best shows yet. Everyone seemed pumped and Adam was a good fit. He had some big… err … ahh… feet to fill. One of my entourage members even learned what OWI was courtesy of Royal Oak po po.
