The Great Train Reverie...
is a 3 week long touring project that will take four of Saskatchewan’s most talented, ambitious musicians and songwriters to the Atlantic Ocean and back, all on a Via passenger train. This tour will stop in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Moncton, Charlottetown, Halifax, Wakefield and Ottawa, with shows booked in a variety of unique venues from house concerts and coffeehouses to brand new pubs and small town Inns. The show consists entirely of original music and is a collaboration of the three songwriters latest creations, fusing together many different genres.
Among the talents on The Great Train Reverie are some of Saskatchewan’s finest songwriters and musicians. Matty Powell , a wonderful songsmith and guitarist with a wealth of performance history who spearheaded the Eastern Canada Train Tour, Gillian Snider, extremely talented Jazz Vocalist/Accordion Player, Ryan Spracklin, an amazing celtic fiddle/mandolin player and Joey Lorer a multi-instrumentalist that plays in 4 different Saskatchewan bands including The Heartstrings, Old Joe and The Truth Hurts and Maybe Smith.
