The Green Light Society. A Philadelphia based band with electronic, hip hop, and funk sensibilities. Since March 2007, we have ultimately become driven to step into the Philly and Northeastern livetronica scene. From the basement of Club 1424 to the Projekt Music Festival to be held this summer (for more details, check out http://www.projektfestival.com) we've started to pave our own path. With ideas ranging from dirty house to Sonic the Hedgehog interpretations, we live to have people wondering, what's next?
In the year sicne our inception, we have had the opportunity to work with different musicians and artists within our collective scene. Musicians we've shared the stage with include PUSH, Digital Frontier, MJ Project, The Indobox, Pet Cemetary, Mind Orchestra (MO2), The Breakfast, The Heavy Pets, Codename, Bodega, The Mantras, Bohemian Sunrise, Tha Itis, Butterjive, BassDrumBingo, Slowave, Elliot Levin, DJ Hydrophonic, Nik Sus (formerly of Raga), Jon Duxbury (The Juice), The Late Night Drifters, and the artists/painters from Vorcan. Thus far we have played venues such as The Khyber, The Fire, SEED Art Gallery (Newark, NJ), The Tritone, Sterling Hotel (Allentown, PA), The M Room, Rex’s Bar (West Chester, PA), The Draught Horse, and the infamous Club 1424, where we’ve been known to put together our more intense bangers.
