CITY SOUNDS Crank are the Winners of the inaugural Glasgow Young Scot Card City Sounds competition after beating Autocast by the narrowest of margins in the live final at the ABC2 in Sauchiehall Street. They will now have 500 of their own CD's produced and play live at Winterfest in George Square over the festive season.

    Scrap Hereos, we want GOSSIP!

    Rumour has it...
Ocean’s Eleven star George Clooney is going back to where it all began for the American movie hunk. Clooney is making a surprise guest appearance in the final series of ER, the hugely popular hospital TV drama where his handsome face first popped up.

    Cheap Shot....
Peaches Geldof has added another string to her bow by designing a clothing range. It’s meant to rival Kate Moss’s Topshop range and Peaches has already said her range won’t be as ‘cheap’ as Kate’s.br />

    GLASGOW GIANTS TO HOOK UP?
It sounds like a tantalising musical collaboration. Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie has spoken to James Allan of rockers Glasvegas about joining forces and recording a song together. The Scots stars have found similarities in their tastes of music and a combined effort could be on the cards in 2009. This is the kind of news that should excite fans of both bands. “I don’t know yet if it’ll happen,” said Allan, “but I hope it does.” Glasvegas have been busy on the road this year treating America and Japan to the unmistakeable Glasvegas sound.
