The Groove is located in the heart of East Nashville at Five Points; right across the street from 3 Crow Bar and only a stones throw from Bongo Java. Providing a space nearly 3000 square feet, The Groove promotes an environment different from its competitors by displaying local art, providing quality listening stations for vinyl connoisseurs, and a wealth of leg space and places to rest your feet. Carrying on in the mom-and-pop tradition, the idea is to let the customer feel as if they are hanging out in their living room talking about and listening to music with their friends. With that said, the Groove will be stocking new and used LPs and CDs, as well as an assortment of books, screenprints, DVDs, and clothing.

Stocking everything from reggae to jazz to pop music is important to the Groove, providing a wide variety of selection for the customers to immerse themselves in. And if there’s a time that comes along where the store doesn’t have it in stock, just ask! One of the employees would be glad to assist you in ordering the release you’ve been looking for. Whether it’s that super-rare German import or an independent release that nobody else seems to carry, going out of the way to help the customer is among the highest of priorities for the stores employees. Differing from the other record stores in the Nashville area, the Groove stocks the largest selection of 12” records in the area, appealing to the budding population of turntablists in Nashville.
