   About Grooveworks
GrooveWorks ---- Funk, Rock, Progr. Metal, Acid Jazz---- Fused together by some of Boston's best notable players.--- Founded in October 2005 by Drummer Philip Diana. This Project was formed by auditioning/jamming with like-minded players in the area with an extensive background and improvisation experience on their respective instruments. 3-4 Musicians were asked to audition & record at the same time with myself and new bassist Brendan Connors. Performing / Creating on the spot through spur of the moment improvisations and full recorded instrument separation. ------------------------------------------------------As different line ups on different recording sessions started to build into a great library to choose from, the best of the recordings were taken. The next step was to add additional tracks that were determined after listening back several times and deciding what would work best… keys, 2nd guitar, sax, trumpet, samples, sound scapes, voice etc.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------All line ups were recorded live, mixed and produced by: Philip Diana @ Backstage Studio Complex in Billerica, Mass. Just outside of Boston. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Watch this line up play these original improvised compositions live and it will have a cool familiar sound, ala Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, John Scofield, Rare Earth, Black Sabbath, Tool, Maceo Parker, Dave Matthews, Stevie Wonder, Billy Cobham, Dave Weckl, James Brown, Cold play. Several genres are represented with smooth transitions and good feel that fans have enjoyed throughout ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Stay tuned for the all new web site for this Band and Live Shows for '07 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Contact Phil D. @ Grooveworks@comcast.net

Hi there Grooveworks first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.

Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't lose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
