The Guitar Lab is designed to promote music education through hands-on learning and group instruction for all age levels and music styles. The facility is home to individual teaching rooms, and a state-of-the-art recording studio, which doubles as a group instruction room.
Indivdual guitar, piano, and drum lessons as well as group instruction is offered for any level of student. During individual lessons, students learn basic skills and theory along with songs of their choice. All individual teaching rooms are equipped with Internet access so learning materials are just a click away. Individual lessons allow students to work at their own pace.
Group instruction emphasizes ensemble play. Students develop skills necessary to play specific songs and techniques used for performing with others. Playing with other musicians stimulates the learning process. Group instruction in songwriting, performance, recording, beginning and advanced guitar are offered based on student demand.
The Guitar Lab features a state-of-the-art recording studio designed around a custom built Apple computer system and a Tascam 64 channel control surface. The facility is sound proofed so individuals or full band performances can be recorded.
The Guitar Lab also offers a full range of sound production services. The in-house audio techinicians have years of experience and provide basic engineering to fully produce and master projects. If needed, composition services and session musicians are available.
The Guitar Lab offers music clinics, workshops, Open Mics, concerts and much more. The distinctive performance room serves as a greatspace for special events, parties, and meetings and is available for rental. Music clinics and workshops are hosted by The Guitar Lab instructors as well as other industry professionsals. Open Mics are held every other month and concerts are routinely scheduled. Both are open to the public.
