M&M Music - The Guitar Store is an independant guitarist owned and guitarist run guitar shop in the heart of Southampton. We've been around since the glory days of rack units and mullets (1987), and twenty years on we're still the first choice for friendly service, great prices, and free coffee.
We've got more guitars than any shop in Southampton - Sound Control ain't got nothing on us. We've got more Gibson, Fender Custom Shop, more acoustics, and more great valve amps than any shop around, and we love it that way. We're all pedal nerds here, so we're the only place for miles around that stocks good boutique pedals, like Smart People Factory, Homebrew, Carl Martin, Xotic and loads more. We are the only shop in the city centre with a proper repair shop, and our repairman has worked on guitars and amps for Stereophonics, Erasure, and more. We've sold Marshall Plexi amps to Eddie Van Halen (okay, just the one, but it still counts), and pretty much every band that plays in Southampton comes through our doors: Coldplay, Green Day, Towers of London (they were actually really nice guys, suprisingly), Johnny Marr....and loads more. We keep our website updated with all the tasty stuff that comes in, but there's so much more in the shop that it's always worth popping in to see what bargain came through the door that weekend.
