I was born and grew up in Santa Barbara Ca. Not one of the rich kids, but the third in a family of eight kids born to a hardworking High School Teacher and his harder working wife. After 20 years in Colorado, Santa Barbara is again my hometown. And I am thankful every freakin' day for it too......! I live like a king on a shoestring..... SB is expensive to live in, but it's worth the price of admission. But as is what happens as we get older, I also have my heart in Hana, Hanalei, and Colorado.
Most everyone in my friends list is a musician and/or artist They are ALL influences in my life in some way or another. So please search through my friends list, give a listen, and discover some amazing music!! I have guitar teched and tour managed so many great artists through the years - Toad The wet Sprocket 06' - Karla Bonoff/Rita Coolidge 06' - Crosby,Stills,Nash, - CPR (feat. David Crosby) - Kenny Loggins - Loggins and Messina reunion tour 05' - to name a few.
I also am honored to know and work with most of these folks personally.... Jake Shimabokuru, Jesse Seibenberg, THE SAMPLES!!, Havilah Rand, Kris Delmhorst, Kathrinn Shorr, Wasis Diop, Megan Slankard, Suzanne Paris, Crosby Loggins, Vince Chafin, Glen Phillips, Eddie from Ohio, Brett Dennen, Nickel Creek, Jeff Kranzler, Whispertrip, Ona, Animal Liberation Orchestra ( ALO ), Kenny Edwards, Gina Villalobos, Nicola Gordon, Lucy Kaplansky, David Wilcox, Stacey Earle, Dougie MacLean, Zack Gill, Jonathan McEuen, Nathan McEuen, more to come
I have also been VERY fortunate to mix sound for Zach Gill (ALO), Ellis Paul, HAPA, Makana, David Grier, Bill Frissell, Peter Fingers, Tony Furtado, Adrien Legg, Laurence Juber, Muriel Anderson, Kenny Loggins, Jim Messina, Glen Phillips, Lucy Kaplansky, David Wilcox, Stacey Earle, Patty Larkin, Laura Love, Darrel Anger, Julie Wolf, and so many more great artists including the folks on the first list.....God I love my job!!!!!!

Neye Benziyor?
I recently added a tune called SNOW that was released on my album entitled "Columbine" in 1989. Columbine after the state flower of Colorado and the little street I used to live on in East Vail Colorado... not after the High school incident. Snow was recorded on a Fostex 4 track cassette deck with my old friend Craig Dobbin doing the string parts on an older Juno8 synth. I recently transfered all my old stuff to ProTools, so this is my first remastering/cleaning up/ and adding some cool things via Reason.
Gramps tune was a piece I wrote for my Grandfathers 100th birthday. All the guitars were recorded live - no punch-ins! My amazingly talented brother - Jim Mooy (conducts orchestras, big bands, teaches music at a college - ya know, the TALENTED one in the family...) added the strings and killer penny whistle. (Is there really a killer pennywhistle?)
Hana sunrise was written by complete mistake! The tuning - D Wahini was discovered while I was NOT paying attention and mistakenly tuned the guitar wrong. I later learned from the great Hawaiin artist, Barry Flanagin (Hapa) that this is a very traditional tuning. I wrote this for my lovely bride Liz. It was recorded direct off off the piezo pick-up and NOT mic'ed. All pick-ups are the L.R.Baggs Element. Yup even in the ukeleles! (The ukes are down in this mix, but will be brought to the front a bit more on the next! ) These pick-ups are THE best! Both of these tune are unmastered-unmixed-and still have mistakes that I have'nt got around to editing yet....so enjoy.... --------- oh yea---------- This is what I do when I am not FIXING everyone else's guitars!!!!!
HOME "DISHWALLA" FOR THE NAVY ..

Not much here, mainly working in the shop at Jonas which is cool but doesn't pay anything like touring. Keep me in mind if you hear of any work that comes up.
