THE GUN STAYS
Coming together in early 2004 the initial goal of The Gun Stays was to fuse their various musical influences and create a sound that was familiar yet very different from the current trends in heavy music. A sound that was as much rock and roll as it was hardcore, a sound that could get people dancing, with melodies that could get them singing along, all presented by a live show that would keep you wanting more. Through out their over 2 years existance it's fair to say the band has achieved their goal, releasing 2 ep's on their own and performing with such bands as Fear Before the March of Flames, Underminded, The Static Age, Scatter the Ashes, Folly, Emanuel, Biology, The Recieving End of Sirens, Hot Cross, Bear Vs. Shark, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Paulson amongst many others. They also performed on the 2005 Bamboozle Festival winning the first round of "The Break" competition. Currently the band is working on what will become their first full length release, due out in may of 2006 with a spring/summer tour to follow, which is currently in the works...

Man there are a ton of good bands breaking up lately. Well I'm glad I got to see you guys play once, I'll never forget you guys and Giving Chase hanging out at my place, what a fun night that was. Keep in touch guys.
"The Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale seems to be stepping up its local bookings. Last night's all-local show included Wantagh-based Welwyn, the highly promising Show Me Action, Ryan Siegel's new group The Rivalry, the hardcore band The Gun Stays, the fast-rising Permanent Me and headliners Nightmare of You (who, by the way, are working on a video for their new single, "My Name is Trouble"). On Aug. 20, the fine power-rock group DoubleheadeR will play the Donkey with support acts such as All Grown Up and Phase 9. Check out clubloaded .com."
