Conversation Less è la prima uscita ufficiale dei “The Hacienda”. Il giovanissimo quartetto fiorentino arriva all’esordio con un bagaglio di oltre 150 date in giro per lo stivale tra concerti e festival e questo EP rappresenta la naturale sintesi degli ultimi due anni di lavoro della band durante i quali la compattezza del live è diventata davvero impressionate. L’energia e la naturalezza con cui i quattro affrontano la dimensione live sono indubbiamente uno dei punti di forza della band … se ne sono accorti anche al di fuori dei ristretti confini nazionali: lo dimostra il fatto che, a Maggio, “The Hacienda” daranno inizio ad un lunghissimo tour nella terra di albione, affrontando il pubblico di alcuni dei più importanti club e festival inglesi. Il disco rimane spontaneamente in bilico tra le atmosfere spontanee del Pop britannico che aveva caratterizzato le prime auto-produzioni della band (Little Boy, Small Town Boyfriend) senza tralasciare quell’attitudine Punk dei primi Jam (Conversation Less,Goodbye Stilt Walker, Mirrors) di cui la band ha fatto il proprio punto di forza. Nel disco traspare la propensione della band a mettere in primo piano nella stesura della composizione la linea melodica e il ritornello (1 am) attraverso un utilizzo ben ponderato di cori e l’intreccio di due voci soliste. Conversation Less è un disco d’esordio ma tale da permettere ai “The Hacienda” di spiccare il volo e conquistare l’Europa.

Conversation Less is the first official release by The Hacienda. The young Florentine band presents their first album with a big experience of live background. In fact, the band played more than 150 shows around Italy including headlining concerts and festivals. This EP represents the result of the band’s work of the last two years in which the live experience developed itself into something really impressive. The energy that The Hacienda show during their live sets, is without a doubt, one of the most powerful qualities of the band. Many people notice this characteristic even outside of the Italian border, in fact The Hacienda will start a British Tour in May 2009 in some of the most important clubs and festival of the UK. The sounds of the record are in-between the atmosphere of British pop which characterized the first style of the band ( in songs like “Little Boy”, and “Small Town Boyfriend”) and the punk attitude of the Jam (in songs like “Conversation Less”, “Goodbye Stilt Walker”, “Mirrors”). In this EP it is clear that the attitude of the band is to prioritise the melodic line and the chorus through strong main vocals and the good use of different background vocals (1 am). “Conversation Less” is the first appearance of The Hacienda which will help the band to spread their music around Europe and abroad.
