the music of the haircuts is a long distance collaboration, and the product of two strangers coming together in the fall of 2003 from a shared love of indiepop. since then, the haircuts have gone on to release 2 eps and one album, all on small independent pop labels.
as of right now, there are no concrete plans to collaborate on anything new in the future, however both members would entertain the possibility of collaborating again should the opportunity arise.
ryan is from the US, and teresa is from canada. they have never met in person.
all the songs were recorded with a 4-track cassette recorder, and the tapes then sent back and forth in the mail between ryan and teresa.

While riding along hummming not just any ordinary song, a Haircuts song , the songs they always make and bake with Sprinkle of fairy dust over it that makes you all giddy while im wielding my bicycle chain, oh in dropping english rain , and yes you could say Hey such a little thing makes a big different , because only teresa and ryan can make such magical tunes that gives such happy days! and thats the truth , thinking of you two while listening on our way , hi there , tereasa , keep it up, im forever here watching ,listening , im sure shakespeare would of loved you guys , im dead positive he would of wrote comments of sonnets all the time ,

I wish i could write songs with such brillant melodies. i see ecstasy and wine as an influence of yours, i was obsessed with that album for a couple of years, still loving it, strawberry wine, never say goodbye....such brillant songs...
