Formed in 2000 as a solo project, The Hair Thieves took their name from a Eddie Izzard sketch, about why old ladies only ever buy dog food and hair nets.
In the last few years with several personal coming and quickly going again, several tracks have been released and several less live performances have occured.
Late 2005 sees The Hair Thieves expanded with the addition of a 2nd guitarist in Ian "E" Packman, formally of Red Star Radio.
Read the blog to learn why it takes Chris & Ian so long to actually write and record new songs.
Janauary 2006 saw the release of EP1. This has now sold out, though available from our soundclick store. EP2 was released in September 2006.
Thank you both for a brilliant performance down on the Quayside. The dancer was the icing on the cake :~) Keep me posted when you're next playing this way cheers Kev

After the first open mic night at The Swan in Ironbridge tonight, I am just reminding all you people on myspace about it!! We (Nathan and Quinn) are running an open mic in The Swan every Monday from now on! In order to keep it running we need musicians / singers / songwiriters to come down and showcase thier stuff as often as possible. As well as the Musos we need people to come along to listen and support the night, so it would be good to see you here some monday night soon. There isn't much else that goes on on a Monday night in Ironbridge! Thanks to Andy, Laura, Adam and Chris for playing tonight, some nice tunes.
I have a video about music marketing stuff that I thought you might want to see - it's @ Youtube. Check it, if you're interested in this sort of thing.
Sure we're friends, but when was the last time you checked out a song or left a comment on the P-43 page? Did you know we're located in three different countries and none of us have ever met in person?
We'd love to hear from you and get your thoughts on our music. If you have a moment, please stop by and tell us what you think!
Thanks for being a friend! Keep pushin' on! Oh yeah... Happy Holidaze!
